Q: Where is the Airshow located?

A: The Wings Over North Georgia air show will be held on October 24-25, 2020 at the Russell Regional Airport, located at 304 Russell Field Road, Rome, Georgia 30165.

Q: How can I purchase tickets?

A: CLICK HERE or press the “BUY TICKETS” button above to purchase tickets. Advance ticket options are currently available online at discounted prices. Tickets will be available during the airshow at the entry gate ticket booths (Cash, MC, Visa, Discover & AMEX cards are accepted). Please Note: Discounted ticket options are available only through the online ticketing services.

Q: Are Tickets Refundable?

A: In the event of inclement weather, acts of god and/or public incidents; the current FAA and Public Safety Authority guidelines may require adjustments to the show & performer schedules including the possibility of postponement or cancellation. All scheduled performers, events & activities are subject to change without prior notice.  *This is an outdoor event, there are no rain checks or performer rain date options.  All sales are final, no Ticket Refunds available!

Q: What if it Rains?

A: Air Shows are outdoor events and subject to weather conditions.  If weather becomes a factor, there are three flying profiles normally available to get the show completed: High Show, Medium Show and Flat Show.  In the event of inclement weather & acts of god; FAA and Public Safety Authority guidelines may require adjustments to the daily show schedules including the possibility of postponement or cancellation.  Airshow rain dates are not an option!

Q: Where can I Park (Autos-Motorcycles-Buses)?

A: ADVANCE ONLY -- Gold Airport Parking is available for $20 per car or motorcycle. There are remote public parking locations which includes round trip shuttle bus services to the airport.  Gold Airport Bus Reservations ($35 each) can be made on-line or by calling the air show office at (706) 291-0030.  *Gold Airport Motorcycle parking is located in a reserved area on hard surface.  DUE TO FAA REGULATIONS & SECURITY CONCERNS THERE WILL BE NO TAILGATING IN THE AIRPORT PARKING AREAS!

Q: How does the remote location shuttle service operate?

A: The officially recognized Remote Parking Locations have dedicated shuttle bus service to and from the airport.  Fees include round-trip services. Buses run continuously during the scheduled airshow hours of operation.

Q: Will there be Handicap Parking?

A: Yes. Designated Handicap Parking areas are available at the airport and remote parking locations. Only authorized handicap vehicles will be allowed to park in these limited available locations.

Q: Will there be Handicap Transportation services to/from the airport parking and shuttle bus drop-off locations?

A: Yes. There are limited bus services & golf cart limo services for the handicap guests only to/from the airport designated bus drop-off locations.  Personal motorized wheelchairs and scooters are authorized!

Q: What about Hotels in the local area?

A: There are numerous hotels in the Rome area to choose from in all price ranges. Click Here to see a list of some local links for lodging options.

Q: Are there any special activities for the Kids?

A: Yes!  There is a professional Kid’s Zone attraction located along the airshow entry ramp to include: inflatables, bungee jumps, climbing wall, knocker ball along with numerous other kid-friendly activities on the property.  There is a separate fee for these attractions.  Kids individual tickets to include the daily armband pass (estimated $15 each) can be purchased on-site!

Q: Are Pets Allowed?

A: NO -- Pets are not allowed within the air show venue grounds (Service Animals are admitted with host).  Authorized camping guests are allowed pets only in their assigned/authorized camping location/spot. Our camping guests must maintain total control over pets in the camping areas.

Q: Will Smoking Allowed?

A: Yes. Smoking will only be authorized in designated smoking areas!  There is no smoking on the aircraft static dispay ramp due to large quanties of aircraft gas & jet fuel.

Q: Will there be Food and Beverages available for purchase at the show?

A: Yes -- A huge variety of food and beverage choices are available for purchase throughout the venue during normal show hours.

Q: Will there be ATM’s on site?

A: Yes -- There are numerous ATM’s located throughout the air show grounds. Most vendor take both cash & credit cards.

Q: Will there be Drinking Water available at the air show?

A: Yes -- In addition to bottled water for purchase, there will be access to public water & emergency drinking water at the Floyd County EMS/First-Aid Stations, free of charge.

Q: Will there be Public Restrooms available?

A: Yes -- Public Porta Potty’s (including handicap-accessible) and Wash-Stations will be available throughout the air show grounds.

Q: Can I take Pictures at the Airshow?

A: YES -- Absolutely. Cameras & Video are highly suggested to record your family’s airshow experience. For those photographer buffs, you may want to choose the Photo Expwerience Ticket weekend pass (Advance on-line only).

Q: How can a Non-Profit Group volunteer to help at the air show?
